Million Hearts
Million Hearts is a national effort in the  United States to bring an awareness of heart disease and prevention.  Their mission is to reduce one million heart attacks and strokes over the next five years.   Please join their effort.
The Million Hearts program recommend these steps:

1.  The first step to reducing your risks for heart disease and stroke is to know your ABCS
      a.  Appropriate Aspirin Use:  Ask your doctor if aspirin will reduce your risks for heart attacks.
      b.  Blood Pressure Control: You can control your blood pressure and reduce your risk for heart disease and stroke.
      c.  Cholesterol Management:  Your health care professional has advice to help you lower your cholesterol level if
           they are high.
      d.  Smoking Cessation:   Ask you health care professional to connect you with tools to help you quit smoking.

2.  Control your blood pressure
      a.  Monitor your blood pressure at home, pharmacy, or at your doctor's office
      b.  Work with your physician to take your medications as prescribed.

3.  Quit smoking
      a.  Smoking can lead to heart attack or stroke.
      b.  Once you stop smoking, your risk for heart attack and stroke declines each year.
      c.  There are resources to help you quit.  Call 1-800-QUIT-NOW
